Alto and Bass Retreat
July 29 - August 2
The University of Colorado Boulder will host an Alto and Bass Flute Retreat from
July 29 to August 2, 2010, in which Dr. Chris Potter will instruct individuals on Alternate Fingerings, Etudes, and Articulation.
The group will also make a recording of ensemble pieces at a recording studio in town. More information is available

Alto and Bass Flute Workshop

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Sponsored by the Pikes Peak Flute Choir, this workshop dealt with numerous aspects of playing the low flutes with
one of the nation’s experts on the subject. Harmony flute players
worked with Ms.Potter on technical aspects of their instruments (posture, breathing, tone, etc.). PPFC harmony flute
members had sectionals. Ms.Potter worked with all flute players on
the areas of air management, tone development, ensemble playing, and vibrato.
