soprano (E-flat) flute, concert flute, alto flute

Will started playing the flute in 4th grade when every 4th grader in the school started band. He narrowed down instrument choices to clarinet and flute. After trying clarinet at the music store, he found the taste of the reeds disgusting, so he chose the flute. Will hasn’t looked back since playing flute and piccolo in a variety of concert bands (wind symphonies) and marching bands through high school and university. When a software engineering job brought Will to Colorado Springs, he discovered the Pikes Peak Flute Choir and was immediately fascinated by the variety of different kinds of flutes. Will especially enjoys playing the soprano (E-flat) flute because of its unique timbre.

Funny Fluties!

What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I ate fresh octopus tentacles (including the suckers) once. In case you’re wondering, it did not taste like chicken.

What is one other instrument that you would love to play?

I wish I could sing well.
